ABOUT THE ARTISTS

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Based in Los Angeles, Katrina Binks is a dancer & choreographer who amalgamates her roots in house and hip hop with contemporary, modern & balletic qualities to explore and push movement fusion. Incorporating her interests in studio art, film and physical theater, Binks’ choreographic pursuits including “Dreaming On A Sleepless Night” (Earl Mosley Summer Intensive) & “Red Roses For You!!!..” (Muhlenberg Dance Department) strive to create complex character motivated narratives with heavy inspiration from multiple art mediums in an attempt to congeal her passions. Her performance work includes multiple faculty & student run productions (Reset: New Dances, In Motion) as well as in events such as The Bessie Awards, Dancing Beyond: A Benefit for Dance Against Cancer, Sanbrooka Productions Flash Mob & showcases at The Dixon Place & Koresh Dance Company.

Contemporary One is a pre-professional dance company that explores a fusion of classical ballet and modern dance. This company stems from Dance One Studios and the program is designed to give students an immersive experience in all aspects of the dance world. They have performed at the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, and Lincoln Center.

Madison Evans, a skilled dancer and choreographer from Berks County, PA, has a decade of training at Studios on Main in dance and acrobatics. Her journey as a triple threat performer started in high school with studies in musical theater and vocal performance, leading to recognition at the 2021 Freddy Awards. Evans has since excelled independently, winning talent titles at Aspire Dance Challenge and making her professional debut as a dancer for Cedar Fair Entertainment Company's Grand Carnivale event at Dorney Park and Kings Dominion. Currently pursuing a BA in Dance and BS in Business Administration at Eastern University, Evans is an accomplished student choreographer, company dancer with Mélange Contemporary Dance Company, and is actively engaged in teaching, auditioning, and preparing for notable productions and conferences in her growing career.

Taylor Hahn is from PA, where she is a member, choreographer, and co-director of Catalyst Dance Company, based in Lancaster, PA.  In 2017, she received her Bachelor of Art in Dance and Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Slippery Rock University.  Taylor has danced in repertories and pieces for Nora Ambrosio, Teena Custer, Matt Pardo, Ursula Payne, Heike Salzer, Attack Theatre, and many other renowned artists. Currently, Taylor is an instructor and choreographer for a studio, competition team, and performing company in central PA.  Taylor enjoys teaching modern technique, improvisation skills, and focuses on mind and body connection. She has been a judge at regional dance competitions for the past 5 years and loves helping other dancers grow and learn. Taylor enjoys presenting her work at showcases and has received numerous awards for her creativity. Taylor started working as a psychotherapist after she received her Masters in Social Work in 2021. She has created many pieces focused on mental health and promotes the importance of teaching dancers how to advocate for their own mental health.

Courtney (Andrews) Kay is a graduate of the DeSales University Dance Department.  She was a member of Annex Dance (Charleston, SC), DM Dance (NYC), and a guest artist for Repertory Dance Theatre (Allentown, PA).  Her choreography has been seen onstage with RDT, DeSales University, Koresh, LVDE and a variety of local dance performances.  Courtney is currently on staff at Dance Works in Quakertown.

Emma Melochick is a dancer turned teacher and choreographer. After dancing for 15 years, Emma’s career came to an end. Now, instead of dancing, Emma shares her passion of dance with her students!

Lucille Rudnick is pursuing a BA in dance with a concentration in choreography at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. Lucy has been choreographing consistently for the past four years and professionally for the last three. She started her choreographic journey at Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre (SCBT) in 2020 with marks, a screendance featured at The Ballet Alliance “Festival Mosaic.” Before graduating, Lucy created two more pieces, Lutalica, and forget-me-not, through SCBT and Seussical for her high school’s spring musical. Since the age of 16, Lucy has been employed at All About Theatre choreographing children’s musicals. She has worked on Lion King Jr. and Seussical Jr. and has been the director of choreography for James in the Giant Peach Jr., Shrek Jr., and Oliver! Jr. Although she loves and appreciates Musical Theater, Lucy’s passion lies in concert dance and screendance, which she continues to create in college.

Transcendence Dance Company is a Contemporary Fusion dance company co-founded by Alanna Espinal and Jasón Wells and was made to create a space of authenticity, diversity, and opportunities to rise above societal expectations through movement.
